Red Sox Note or two

Sox repeat again in large part due to  the big step forward by five players:

Eduado Rodriguez     17 wins with ERA under 2.80
Rafael Devers            33 Home Runs with much improved defense, an AL All-Star
Blake Swihart            Takes over as #1 catcher by mid-June, hits .310
Andrew Benentendi    Flourishes in leadoff spot, also makes All Star team
Jackie Bradley, Jr.       His batting style change made mid-2018 takes hold and eliminates the up and down  batting performance he was known for. JBJ hits .282 with 26 home runs and wins the Gold Glove again.

The bullpen overcomes doubts with a strong performance by Matt Barnes and with call ups of Travis Lakins, Durbin Feltman, and Darwinzon Hernandez during the season.

Welcome Back Baseball. Here's to 2019.
