Red Sox Maineiacs Podcast - Red Sox/Yankees Memories

Check out the new Red Sox Maineiacs Podcast! In this episode of the podcast, Brandon and Barry share their best memories of the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry.  Let's just say April 21, 2012 was not discussed.  We do discuss Barry's marriage to a Yankees fan, the 2003 ALCS, and more.  Check it out!

  1. The 3:45 and 8:20 marks are rather telling after yesterday's game. When my Yankee in laws come and visit me the Red Sox and Yankees always have a series against each other and the Red Sox NEVER ever win a game. So I accept full responsibility for yesterday's debacle.

  2. I had a great time listening to the podcast. It is good to know I helped raised you right. Red Sox Maineiacs through and through, and able to embrace diversity when appropriate. One other great Red Sox-Yankees moment from 2004. The three of us eating at a Chili's in Danbury, CT, while on the way to Baltimore to watch the Sox. It was the day of the infamous Varitek's glove in A-Rod's face game. When the Sox won in the bottom of the ninth, the three of us went nuts, and then realized, but not much cared, that we were close enough to the CT-NY border that everyone else in the crowded place were Yankee fans.

  3. Haha Deacon, good call I forgot about that moment in Connecticut for that game. That would have been a good one to discuss. For me that was the moment that I knew that the '04 team had something special and a chance to win the world series. It didn't feel so special when they were down 3-0 in the ALCS vs the Yanks, but we all know now that it was meant to be.
