Fact of the Year

This is not a prediction but factual research.  For all the pundits picking the Yankees to win it all this year, they should consider this.  Capt. Jeter will be 38 in June and A Rod 37 in July.  On a recent rainy Sunday afternoon, I spent 4 hours or so researching all of the previous 107 World Series played.  214 teams in those series and the number of teams to even make the World Series with a regular SS age 38 and 3B 37 is ZERO.  Only slight asterisk needed is the 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers played in and lost the WS with 38 y/o Pee Wee Reese at SS and 37 y/o Jackie Robinson at 3B, BUT Jackie played only 72 games at 3B in the regular season.   The Yanks might make it but they are up against very long odds.

  1. Were Pee Wee and Jackie using HGH?? With a name like Pee Wee I doubt it!!
I sure hope this fact holds up and keeps the Yanks out of the World Series
